Arrival by car
Follow directions to the city centre (ZENTRUM). One way or another, you will wind up on the Ringstrasse, which is a one way street. Stay on it until you are at Schottentor. Turn left into Währingerstraße, get into the leftmost lane and turn left at the second traffic light (you can't at the first). Drive past a large Neo-Gothic church. At the next traffic light turn right into Alserstraße. Stay on Alserstraße until the second traffic light, turn right into Garnisongasse, and find somewhere to park. (Consider that all of inner Vienna is a pay zone. You will need to buy parking tickets (Parkscheine) at a tobacconist or petrol station.)
