  • full-time lecturer at the department of English and American Studies of the University of Vienna since 1997
  • Guest chair for English language teaching at the University of Münster (2008/2009)
  • recipient of an Erwin-Schrödinger international scholarship by the FWF (Austrian research fund) for 2 years, spent in Frankfurt and London (2005/2006)
  • recipient of the Figdor-prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences for literary studies (2005)
